Born into a golfing family and raised in South Wales, Alex began playing golf at the age of 3. Alex was selected to play golf for the Welsh National Junior Team at the age of 15 years and went on to represent the Welsh National Team at Youth and Senior Levels. Alex has won many national and international Junior Championships, a European Under 21 Youth Team Championship and a Senior Home International Team Championship.
After his successful junior career Alex went on to Graduate from Rollins College in Florida USA, with a BA Degree in Psychology; he won 5 NCAA College tournaments, achieved a 3 time All- American Honour and a NCAA Division 2 National Championship Title. Following a successful amateur career and countless lessons taken with DLGA Toya Director Matthew Tipper, Alex decided to pursue a career in golf.
Alex Turned Professional in 2004 and won 3 times on the mini-tours and played in over 20 events on the European Challenge Tour, but his playing career was cut short due to injury problems in his ankle and back.
Having spent time with some of the finest coaches in the UK, Alex felt the desire to give back to the game and become an instructor. In 2008 Alex based himself at the famous Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club, in South Wales, which is one of the finest links courses in Wales where he under took his PGA Training.
Alex’s ability to communicate to the player not only the importance of the technical side, but mental, physical and management side of the game are his strengths.
