Dr. Jean-François Richard

Dr. Jean-François Richard is a professor of education, sport pedagogy and coaching science at l'Université de Moncton in New Brunswick, Canada and formerly at Penn State University.
Jean-François has spent a significant part of his career as a coach and coach educator in athletics and hockey. Throughout the past 25 years, Jean-François has served as a provincial team and university coach and also as a learning facilitator and coach educator for the Coaching Association of Canada and the PGA of Canada.

Dr. Richard has authored over 50 refereed and professional publications in relation to the teaching-learning process in various physical activity and sport settings including several publications in relation to skill and athletic development in junior golfers. In 2007, Health and Physical Education Canada awarded Jean-François the Dr. R. Tait Mackenzie Scholar Award for his contributions to the body of knowledge in relation to teaching and teacher education.

Jean-François is a PGA of Canada Class A Teaching Professional with the Louis Melanson Golf Academy in Moncton, New Brunswick. He is also the Golf New Brunswick Provincial Junior Boys Coach.
